Experience Winter on the Farm!

Visit with the goats, sheep, and bunnies, discover our snow mazes, harvest corn cobs right from the field, and make birdfeeders to take home. Warm up in our puppet show and enjoy a cookie! Dress for the outdoors - our winter program includes a blend of indoor and outdoor activities and outdoor play time requires snow pants, snow boots, hats, and mittens.

What's Included?

We believe in learning by doing and by creating opportunities for physical literacy, which our winter field trips reflect. See below for a sample list of activities included in our programs. We're also more than happy to customize our field trips to match your classroom goals - just let us know!

Guided 1.5 Hour Program $16/student + GST

Guided 3 Hour Program $20/student + GST

  • Active Winter Games (Fox and Goose Snow Maze)

Please Note: There is a minimum booking fee of $300.00.

Cancellations must be received 7 days prior to your reservation in writing - email reserve@prairiegardens.org. No-shows with no written notice will be invoiced $300.

    Lunch Options:  BYO Lunch *Indoor Heated Private Lunch Area $50 + GST*  Mini Wood-Fired Pizza $10ea + GST (includes private seating area)  Cheery Bonfire & Hotdog Roast (includes marshmallows) $10ea + GST (includes private seating area)

    WHAT IF IT SNOWS? Dress for the weather!!! We will do as many outdoor activities as the weather will allow. We also have indoor activities planned to warm up in between activities.
