Haunting Team - Volunteer Halloween Characters

Image

Love dressing up in costume or acting as a character? Join our Fall Fest team on weekends in September and October!

Fall characters - like a Pumpkin Princess, a Stuffed Scarecrow, or a Friendly Ghost - rove the farm on fall weekends, greeting and interacting with visitors. If you have a character in mind - let us know! We love to hear new or unique character ideas.

Or, if you're feeling spooky, help haunt our Haunted House and help scare any brave souls who dare enter. No gore, family friendly scares only! If you have questions about the tone of terror, we're more than happy to chat about the atmosphere of the Haunted House and Ghost Town of Boo'n Accord in more detail.

Looking for a meaningful way to spend time outdoors with your family? Join us at the farm for a fun and rewarding volunteer experience—picking pumpkins and potatoes to help feed local families in need!

We’re inviting families, kids, and community members to help harvest fresh produce. The best part? All surplus fruits and veggies go directly to local food banks to support those facing food insecurity.

 Activities Include:

  • Picking pumpkins and digging for potatoes
  • Sorting and preparing veggies for donation
  • Learning about farming, food sharing, and giving back
  • Enjoying a day in nature with your loved ones

 Family Perks:

  • A chance to meet farm animals and explore the fields
  • Volunteer hours for students
  • A fun, educational experience for kids of all ages

Whether you're 5 or 85, there's a role for everyone. Come dig in, make memories, and help us grow a stronger, more caring community—one potato at a time.
