Rubus idaeus ‘Fall Gold’
Pot Size: #1
A primocane, fall bearing, raspberry variety. The Fall Gold Raspberry grows on a small shrub and forms berries that are large, gold colored, heart-shaped, and with yellow overtones. The berries are ready for picking usually late spring to early fall. The taste of these berries are sweet and juicy. The foliage of this shrub is green, fuzzy, oval shaped, and are compounded. This is a high maintenance plant that will require regular care and upkeep. The raspberries are mostly often eaten fresh, for cooking, or to preserve.
The Fall Gold Raspberry will grow to be about 4 ft tall, and with a spread of 3 ft. This is a self-pollinating variety, so it doesn’t require a second plant nearby to set fruit. Because raspberry shrubs tend to be leggy and suckering it does not play well with other plants, so it is best to grow its own designated space. It should only be grown in full sunlight. Prefers average to moist conditions. Not particular to soil type or pH.
