Adventure Farm & Mazes Set to Open in August


The Petting Farm will remain closed because of Covid-19.

Safety Measures and Guidelines

We have put some adjustments in place for the health and safety of our staff, visitors, and animals. These modifications are designed to comply with public health orders and guidelines.

Before You Visit
  • Please do not visit the farm:
    • If you have travelled within the last 14 days
    • If you have been in contact with anyone sick with COVID-19 within the last 14 days
    • If you are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms. These include: fever, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, sore throat, and/or others listed on Alberta Health Services website.
  • Purchase tickets online only – there will be no gate admission at the farm
  • Please arrive within the 30-minute window on your ticket
  • Please do not bring family pets to the farm
At the Farm: Amenity and Service Availability
  • Garden centre shopping for Prairie hardy trees, shrubs and perennials will be open from 10-6 daily
  • Outdoor areas and gardens of the farm will be open on a guided basis only
  • All wagon and train rides and play structures and hands-on activities will remain closed
  • The haunted house will remain closed
  • The gem mine will remain closed; take home “gem pay-dirt” in sealed bags will be available for purchase to allow you to gem mine at home.
  • There will be animal talks with seating arranged to allow for the 2M physical distancing required
  • The puppet shows will run on a schedule as part of guided tours, with seating arranged to allow for the 2M physical distancing required
  • The General Store shop will be open on one-way movement basis
  • There will be no paper maps  or programs available
  • The Farm Market will be open on Saturdays and Sundays as seasonal produce becomes ready.
  • Pre-order online:  vegetables or a CSA weekly box to pick up curbside to take home is recommended
At the Farm: U-Pick Strawberries and Vegetables
  • U-Pick will be available by an online appointment system only, with one way access.
  • U-pick will not be available on a drop-in basis – people without appointments will not be able to pick.
  • Pick berries or vegetables with purpose! U-pick activities are not intended to be social get-togethers or gatherings. Please book a Farm Tour or Farm Picnic if you intend to relax together on the farm.  Hanging around and visiting in the fields will not be allowed
  • U-pick guests will be required to wear face masks and sanitize their hands before and after entering the field at stations provided.
  • If guests do not have face masks, there will be masks available for purchase
  • U-pick rows are limited to 2 guests max per row. Reserve additional rows if you have more than 2 people in your party, including children ages 2 and up.
  • There is no baby stroller access to the field.
  • U-Pick families with children are welcome, provided children are supervised on a 1:1 ratio by an adult chaperone
  • New buckets will be provided – no containers from home will be allowed
  • No eating or sampling berries is allowed in the field as saliva on berry husks or parts dropped in the field is a COVID contamination concern
  • Food service will be limited to Farm Picnics which must be pre-ordered and pre purchased 3 days in advance
  • No outside food is allowed with the exception of water in bottles or baby food – there are no picnic facilities in the U-pick fields
  • Water fill stations will not be available
  • Washrooms will be open and cleaned regularly
  • Increased hand sanitizer stations will be available, including at the entrance, exit, and throughout the farm
Safety Measures

The following service adjustments will be made for your safety and the safety of our staff and animals:

  • Advance tickets – sold online only
  • Timed entry
  • Daily attendance limits will be reduced by 80%
  • Increased hand sanitizer locations, including at the entry and exit and throughout the farm
  • One-way traffic around the farm to facilitate physical distancing and minimize interactions.
  • Corn and Sunflower Mazes have become Labyrinths to allow for one-way foot traffic
  • Rope mazes and bale mazes are not open
  • Pathway markings, signage or barriers to enforce physical distancing guidelines and hygiene protocols
  • Limited food service – pre-purchase pre-ordered farm picnic boxes Water fill stations will not be available
  • Portable toilets will be open and cleaned regularly
  • Increased hand sanitizer stations will be available, including at the entrance, exit, and throughout the farm
  • Wagon and Train Rides will remain closed
  • The Petting Farm will not open this season; There will be animal viewing and interpretive programming offered instead

Please follow all guidelines for physical distancing. This may result in wait times at points of entry, and service during peak visitation.
