A Canadian apple, TreasuRed was developed by the University of Saskatchewan and designed for the prairies. It produces crisp fruit with cherry-red skin and white flesh that is excellent for storing, baking, and, of course, fresh eating! Additionally, its flavour is similar to the much-sought-after McIntosh Apple. Its delicious crisp fruit isn't why this apple is so special - it's a columnar apple, only getting 3' wide at full maturity - 3'! This makes it the perfect apple for small compact yards - it fits perfectly tucked in against fences, decks, or against the sunny side of a house.
