Prunus ‘Perfection/Superb’

Growing only 10′ tall by wide, Perfection is ideal for folks with smaller orchard areas, and its hardiness – zone 2 – makes it well suited for the prairies. In fact it was developed by the the University of Saskatchewan in the 1960s. Fruit is ready to harvest in early August, making it one of our earliest ripening plums! Fruit is small, and yellow-fleshed with a red/purple skin. Flesh is extremely sweet and juicy, nicely balanced by a slightly sour skin.

Needs another plum for cross-pollination. Canadian or American plum recommended.
