A variety of compact lilac that will bloom earlier than the common lilac. This shrub has deep purple buds that will open up to light purple single blooms, in the Spring. The blooms are highly fragrant. The blooms are surrounded by pointy green foliage that turns burgundy in Fall.

Prefers soil that is moist and well-drained. Great to use as fresh flowers or dried. Gets to a height of 6-8 ft and a spread of 4-5 ft.
