A small apple tree that is grown for its edible qualities. An extremely hardy variety and is the leading variety of apples in Alaska. Parkland apples have a crisp texture and taste tart. The skin is yellow green color with a red blush covering about 40% of the apple. Great for preserves, fresh off of the tree, or made into jam. The best time to harvest is mid to late August and keep for about 8 weeks; storing better than the Norland variety.
