Honeycrisp: Large, mottled red-over-yellow apple. Notably crisp and juicy, excellent for fresh eating, cooking, juice or storing (up to 6 months).

Gemini: Medium-sized, red apple with yellow streaks. Crisp, sweet, and juicy white flesh that ripens in late summer. Great for fresh eating or cooking and stores well into the new year.

Goodland: Large, light green apple with a red blush. Crisp, late summer apple for eating fresh, cooking and can be stored for up to 4 months.

Kerr: Hardy, productive, late-season, purple-red apple/crab cross with yellow flesh. Excellent for preserves, juices and stores for up to 6 months. Often added to cider blends to add character. Sweetens after first frost. .

Dolgo: A heavy cropper, easy to grow, and an excellent pollinator. One of the best all-purpose crab apples. It is a very tart little apple, but it can be eaten fresh if you like pucker power. It makes a rich, ruby red jelly. Bullet proof hardy in the Edmonton region. Produces a sharp aromatic juice.

Whitney: This is a quality crab apple for cider makers. It produces a particularly good juice for cider with a good level of sugar plus a pleasantly mild astringency, which adds to the mouthfeel and body of the cider. It’s a great pollinator, easy to grow and highly productive. It’s also sweet enough to eat fresh as well as use in jellies and other preserves.

Gloria: Medium-sized, red speckled fruit with a sweet and slightly spicy strawberry flavor. Great for fresh eating and cooking.

Collet: Medium-sized, green apple with red stripes. Good for eating fresh, cooking and desserts. Stores 10-12 weeks. Pick after first frost (up to -4C). Extremely hardy with excellent disease resistance.

Harcourt: Medium-sized, red striped and naturally lightly waxed apple with a crisp, mild-flavoured white flesh. Excellent for eating, baking and juicing. Ripens late summer – early fall.

Odyssey: A hardy, medium-large, Manitoba apple. Chartreuse with a red blush. Ripens in late summer. Fruit is crisp and sweet with a similar taste to Gala. Perfect for baking, preserving, or eating straight off the tree.

Parkland: A small to medium-sized, green-yellow apple with red on sunny side. Crisp, juicy, cream-white flesh with green hue. Good for eating fresh and cooking.

Rescue Crabapple: Hardy, productive, medium-sized green-yellow crabapple with red wash and stripes. Sweet, cream coloured flesh is good for fresh eating, cooking and jellies.

TreasuRed: Prairie hardy apple with a compact, columnar growth habit – grows only 3′ wide! Large, cherry red coloured fruit ripens in early fall and has crisp, white flesh. Great for storing, baking, or fresh eating.

Red Sparkle: A medium red-over-green washed apple with a nutty/fruity taste. A crisp and juicy apple, with good eating, baking and storage qualities. Very hardy.

September Ruby: The hardiest apple tree for the north (zone 1). A large, sweet, bright red, fall apple excellent for fresh eating and juicing with good storage qualities.
