Fragaria ‘Malwina’

A super late strawberry variety. Malwina strawberries are very juicy and a dark red color. They are known to have excellent flavor. This is a variety that was bred by Peter Stoppel in Germany, and has been adapted to growing here in Canada. These are a great addition if you are looking for something that fills in the time between other June-bearing berries and before other everbearing. Excellent for eating fresh, cooking, baking, as well as making jams and jellies. Self-pollinating.

Mulch in the Fall. Prefers soil that is alkaline and rich. Does best in average to evenly moist soil, but will not tolerate standing water.
