The meaning of Krazulya translates to ‘Beauty’ in Russian, and she indeed is a beauty. It is a small to medium sized yellow pear with a bright red cheek. It is the best tasting early ripening pear, but is balanced by a hint of spice. The flesh has a buttery texture, the flesh is juicy, and the skin is tender, smooth and glossy. This variety is ready for harvest mid to late August, and should be eaten quickly as it does not store particularly well.
