A deciduous tree that is an excellent late season red apple. The apples are large ruby-red apples that have a white flesh. The apples are usually ready for picking from late summer – early Fall. The apples have a sweet taste and a crisp texture. The apples are most often used for fresh eating and cooking. Aside from its edible qualities the the Fall Red Apple, in mid Spring, features showy clusters of lightly scented white flowers with a blush pink overtone along the tree branches. It has forest green foliage that will turn yellow in the Fall.

The Fall Red requires another variety growing nearby in order to set fruit. Ensure that this tree is grown in a designated area of the yard because upon maturity it can have a wide size and spread. It is not particular as to soil type of pH. This variety is an interspecific hybrid.
