Get Cooking – Open Farm Days Longtable Farm Dinner

Join us and Chef Kathryn Joel of Get Cooking Edmonton for a taste of local with this special five-course dinner at Prairie Gardens, in celebration of and in partnership with Alberta’s Open Farm Days.

You’ll begin your night with welcome canapés, cooked with you over an open wood fire. Then you will join proprietor Tam Andersen for an exploratory farm tour. And finally, we’ll settle down for our five-course dinner at the communal long tables in our beautiful greenhouse. We’ll be serving a menu chosen to highlight the diversity of delicious produce, herbs and flowers grown on the farm, and cooking a lamb from the farm and other locally sourced seafood and meats as well. And all of our dishes will be finished in front of you, on wood burning fires set up by the greenhouse doors.

As always with Get Cooking, we’ll be inviting you to interact with us as we cook, this time over fire and on the farm, and to experience with us the joy of cooking local by our sides.

Event Fee: $125 per person, plus GST.

Your Fee Includes: Welcome canapés followed by your farm tour with Tam Andersen of Prairie Gardens and a five-course meal in the greenhouse with Kathryn, Elyse and Brooke of Get Cooking.

A menu of optional wine pairings featuring a selection of local and BC wines, beers and a Gin Cocktail by the glass, can or bottle will be available for purchase on the night.
