Rooted in centuries of agricultural life, wheat weaving celebrates the harvest and symbolizes gratitude, prosperity, hope and the enduring connection between people and the land.\nUkraine has long been known as the “Breadbasket of the World,” with its fertile soils producing abundant grain that sustained generations of families. Wheat became much more than a crop, it represented life, community and thanksgiving. Beautiful handwoven creations were displayed in homes, used during weddings and Christmas celebrations and given as heartfelt gifts to family and friends.\nDuring this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the traditional techniques used to prepare and weave natural wheat straw while creating their own keepsake to take home.
